Joy Maples

Joy Maples is an experienced upright bass player who works well in ensembles and has a fun and energetic stage presence. She can hold down the rhythm section, as well as contribute lead or harmony vocals. Discovering music later in life, it’s as if she just can’t get enough of that bass. To watch her on stage is to KNOW she loves the instrument and loves music. She is most comfortable with Folk, Americana and Bluegrass stylings, and is also familiar with the gypsy jazz catalog of songs.
