Marianne Danehy, a member of the Boulder Street Gallery, is an artist living and working in the Colorado Springs area. She paints landscape, still life, and figures from life. She finds painting from life both exciting and challenging, and especially enjoys painting landscapes en plein air. She has studied oil, pastel, and watercolor through many painting classes over the years at the Art Students League in Denver, the Cottonwood Center for the Arts and Bemis School of Art in Colorado Springs, as well as workshops with prominent artists in New York, New Mexico, North Carolina, Michigan and Utah. Marianne previously worked as an engineer for Hewlett-‐ Packard Company, and as a private Suzuki violin and fiddle instructor. She performs with the trio Prairie Como and co-directs the Colorado Roots Music Camp with her husband, Charlie Hall. They regularly attend bluegrass festivals and love to play music with friends. She has two children, William and Anna. She has lived in Colorado Springs for over 30 years, and has a great appreciation for the beauty of Colorado, as an avid skier, mountain biker, hiker and general outdoor enthusiast.
