As a native of south Louisiana, I am proud of my Cajun heritage and have lived and worked in Colorado Springs, Colorado since July 1990.
Some of the mediums I work in include watercolor, alcohol inks, oil, colored pencil, pastel, photography and stained glass. I am a signature member of the Pikes Peak Watercolor Society and the Southern Colorado Watercolor Society and past member of the Wyoming Watercolor Society and Colorado Springs Art Guild. I also create jewelry, mini landscapes, and items featuring my art.
My artwork can be seen online at www.myrapatinart.blogspot.com, by appointment at my home studio and gallery, and at other locations around Colorado Springs. Contact me for information about where to see my artwork.
My stained glass work is done by commission and is in many homes in Colorado Springs, Minnesota, and Louisiana.
I am organist/pianist/vocalist at Gateway Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs. I also provide organ, piano, and vocal music for weddings and funeral/memorial services, as well as background piano and vocals for private parties in homes and businesses and other events such as art openings, club functions, senior centers, Christmas parties, open house events, tour of homes, etc.
When I’m not creating artwork or music, I work as a legal assistant with my husband, Sidney, who is an attorney in Colorado Springs. I also operate a framing business, Pikeview Framing, at my home workshop.
