Ricardo Villa

Ricardo Villa is a multiple award wining nature photographer and a Colorado semi-native. He was born next door, in New Mexico, over 57 years ago, and has lived in Colorado Springs for about 50 years. He’s grateful his parents had the good sense to move to the Springs, but since he grew up living within 15 minutes of some of the best scenery in the entire nation, he mostly took the beauty for granted.

That all changed when Ricardo took some of the best pictures ever of the Garden of the Gods soon after he retired from King Soopers. Now, he’s in the quiet beauty of the mountains many more days. When not taking pictures, Ricardo wants to remind the rest of us that live in the shadow of Pikes Peak of what a beautiful place this is, and encourage people to get outdoors more often and reconnect with nature.
