I’m a 57 year old sculptor of bronze abstract animals. I have been in the bronze sculpture world all of my adult life. I have been an artisan in the service of other sculptors as a mold maker, foundry man, or project manager; and the last 10 years a sculptor of my own work.

The shortest description of my work – animal spirits in transition. The longer version: I have a personal fascination with animals – they’re athleticism, energy, vitality and combine this with the mysticism other cultures have viewed them with throughout human history.

My primary subjects are “Hoofs and horns” (those animals with horns, antlers, hoofs) such as deer, antelope, gazelle. I occasionally deviate from this with a feline, bird, or other animal but always come back to hoofed animals.

My studio is in my home. I do all facets of the process except for the hot metal casting. I do give tours when my schedule allows, by appointment only. My work may be seen in Colorado at Tracy Miller Gallery in Manitou Springs or Columbine Gallery in Loveland.

Though I have won a number of shows and awards, been interviewed in print, television and radio; the achievements I am most honored by lately are:
*Being a Signature Member of The Society of Animal Artists
*In 2014 receiving SAA’s Award of Excellence for my sculpture Awakening Buck.
*Exhibiting in the 2017 Colorado Governor’s Art Show.
*Teaching sculpture at Bemis Fine Arts.
