The future begins now for USA Shooting and over 200 of the top junior shotgun competitors from around the nation with the 2016 National Junior Olympic Shooting Championships (NJOSC) in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The future begins now for USA Shooting and over 200 of the top junior shotgun competitors from around the nation with the 2016 National Junior Olympic Shooting Championships (NJOSC) in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
These athletes qualified for an invitation to the NJOSC with top scores in their respective State Junior Olympic Championships. The competitors range in age from 10 to 20 years old, and are classified according to age as J1 (ages 18-20), J2 (ages 15-17) or J3 (ages 14 and younger).
ADMISSION INFO
From I-25 take the Academy Blvd exit at the south end of Colorado Springs.
At the end of the exit ramp, turn West.
At the second stoplight, you will turn left onto Highway 115 (also called Nevada Ave.)
Continue south on Hwy. 115 – past the main gate of Ft. Carson – past gate 5 of Ft. Carson. You will travel 2 miles past the May Museum. There is a large bug by their sign.
When the highway widens out to four lanes instead of 2, you will turn left into gate 7. This gate is not well marked – there is no big sign. This is 2 miles past the big bug. There will be someone to let you in.
