Ranch Blacksmith, and one of Pikes Peak Region's most accomplished craftsmen, Andy Morris, and with special guest blacksmith, Don Hanson, will conduct two one-day workshops for beginners (16 years and older) and those who have a minimal amount of experience.

These hands-on workshops will include an overview of blacksmith history, tools, techniques and discussions of supplies necessary for starting your own shop.
Each participant will forge practical and decorative items from hot steel to take home and amaze their family and friends!
On the day of the workshop, you will meet at 2265 Spectra, Colorado Springs (Please note: This workshop does NOT take place at Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site.) The workshop will begin promptly at 9 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. There will be a 45 minute break for lunch. You will need to bring the following items:
- Protective Clothing (NO Shorts)
- Work Boots (NO open toed shoes)
We will provide:
- Eye Protection
- Hearing Protection
- Hammer
- Tongs
Registration will close when the class is full. In the event that we have to cancel the workshop (instructor illness, insufficient registration, etc.) we will refund your registration fee in full. The last day you may withdraw from the workshop and receive a full refund is one week before your scheduled workshop. After that date, we will retain $50 of your payment as a cancellation fee.
