Learn to paint the colors and shapes of the Southwest landscape using expressive techniques.

Acrylic glazing, color theory, and close attention to landscape shapes will be emphasized.

To enhance visual interest, students will discover how to distribute the spatial divisions of foreground, middle ground, and background.

A visual journal will be used as a tool to accompany the painting process and spark creative intuition.
