A77 Mosaics & Mortar

These one-day workshops are designed to provide an intensive lesson in mosaic making, using thinset mortar.

Use a variety of materials (marble, glass, stone, beads, shell, and ceramic) to create at least one mosaic using embedding and buttering techniques.

Topics covered include: building and preparing your base/substrate, cutting your chosen materials with appropriate tools, and the properties and various applications of thinset mortar.
