AAFC Featured June Artist- Gregory Kelley

Academy Art & Frame Company has committed to featuring one of our consignment artists in a mini monthly show to say thank you for their dedication and contribution to the gallery and shop.

On display throughout June and July are digital paintings by Gregory Kelley. A local to Colorado Springs and a lover of the outdoors, Kelley’s work depicts the beauty and majesty that is Colorado. Mountains, streams, cities and animals are common themes to his work but a special part of his work is in painting images of the Air Force Academy and the Chapel. Kelley says about his work, “The startling beauty of this state is why I am an artist. I remember the crisp air when you are having a cup of coffee in the high mountains. Aspen, Telluride, Vail, Longs Peak, and Pikes Peak are all terrific to look at. I have watched wild horses run. I want to capture all that in paintings, with the emphasis on colorful and Colorado.”
