American Music Society Winter Concert presented by American Music Society at ,

AMS will present a classical music concert featuring eight musicians on seven different instruments.

AMS has presented classical music concerts in Colorado Springs for over 100 years.

This concert may be the most eclectic. Duo Mosaico, a guitar duo, will open the program with an original piece, “Murmuration Suite”, by duo member, Steve Mullins. AMS’s newest member, Ben Johnson, is the other guitarist.

Long time AMS member and Past President of the organization, Lynn Barber, will perform Chopin’s “Ballade No. 1” on piano.

Catamount Woodwind Quintet will close the program with selections from “Pictures at an Exhibition” by Modest Mussorgsky, arranged by Joachim Linckelmann.

Ensemble members are Phyllis White (flute), Joyce Hanagan (oboe), Jay Norman (clarinet), John Lawson (bassoon), and David Acton (horn).
