Arnold to Argentina: Oboe, Guitar and Piano

 
Joyce Hanagan (oboe), Jim Bosse (guitar) and Abe Minzer (piano) will present
three concerts in Southern Colorado. The headline piece of this concert will be
Suite Indiana by Argentine composer, Jorge Cardoso. 
This concerto presents indigenous folk rhythms from four South American countries:
Argentina, milonga; Venezuela, a Christmas folk rhythm, aguinaldo and joropo; the third movement, Paraguay, a slow guarania; and the finale, a Brazilian samba ending with a festive march.  

Other pieces on the program include Sonatina for Oboe and Piano by
Malcolm Arnold and Four Laments by Jim Bosse.
