About the Artist:
Lance Green was born and raised in Denver in 1953. As a child, he moved around the Southwest, where he drew inspiration from the Native art and culture. He started learning at a young age from Norwegian painter Chris Christopherson and his grandmother, Lucy Green. He majored in art at Rio Hondo College in East L.A., and went on to be a member in the South Bay L.A. art scene. In 2004, Green made his move back to Colorado, and now resides in Manitou Springs. Lance is considered a pioneer in the world of contemporary painting, exploring worlds previously uncharted.
