Ashley Ellis and Christina Mandico Recital

Guitarist and vocalist Ashley Ellis will present a wide variety of repertoire in different genres from the early 19th century to the present day.

Pieces include: classical guitar works by Fernando Sor, Francisco Tárrega, Carlo Domeniconi and Colin McAllister; swing jazz and bossa nova standards, and an Eva Cassidy arrangement of Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time.” Guest artists are Drew Prosser – trumpet, Sean Christian – bass, Baylee Parks – piano, and Cooper Graham – drums.

Christina Mandico, soprano, accompanied by Stephanie McGuffin and special guest Dylan Osgood, will perform a selection of songs from classical, musical theater and international folk genres.

The diverse collection of music spans centuries and nations including art songs by Edvard Grieg, songs from The Secret Garden and The Music Man, and traditional lullabies with Spanish, French and Celtic origins. Christina is extremely grateful for this opportunity to share her music during her senior year as a music minor.
