Basic Drawing I

In this class, portrait artist LeAnna Tuff will guide you in the basics of drawing, including shape, proportion, and getting your best likeness.

Learn about values and shading, and about the importance of proper lighting as you draw a basic still life drawing.

Learn foundational techniques that enable you to accomplish your creative goals.

During the course, you can expect to complete 2 to 4 still life drawings to keep.

You will need a Strathmore “Colored Pencil” sketch pad, graphite sketch pencils (assortment of soft to hard: ex. 8B – 2H), erasers (kneaded eraser, gum eraser), sharpener for pencils, and a set of charcoal drawing pencils (optional).
