Big Gay 5K

The Big Gay 5K helps support Colorado Springs Pride in their efforts to connect, support and empower the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people of Colorado Springs to achieve civil and social equality. Please consider making a contribution directly to Colorado Springs Pride.

Distance: 5K (3.1 miles)?

Parking: You will need to park before you get to America the Beautiful Park. Look for street parking in downtown Colorado Springs or one of the city's parking garages.

Start Time: 10:00am July 20, 2014

Packet Pick Up: July 20, 2014 at the LGBT Community Center of the Pikes Peak Region (22 E Rio Grande St) from 12:00-3:00pm and at America the Beautiful Park on race day.

Course: The race will follow the parade route, starting and ending in America the Beautiful Park. We will run a loop through the park and then go north on Colorado Avenue, east on Tejon Street, and south on Cimarron and turn around and head back to American the Beautiful Park to watch the Pride Parade and join the PrideFest activities!

Awards: There will be awards for best dressed and best times!

Registration: All registration, except July 20-21 registration, will be conducted through Active.com. July 20 registration will be held at packet pick up from 12:00 – 3:00pm at the LGBT Community Center of the Pikes Peak Region (22 E Rio Grande St), July 21 registration will begin at 8:00am at America the Beautiful Park in Colorado Springs, no additional fee will be added to July 19-20 registration.

Swag: All participants will receive a free Big Gay 5K t-shirt.

Timing: The Big Gay 5K will be timed with race results posted soon after the race.

Please Note: We will need to stick to a one hour cut off so we can be off the roads in time for the parade. Also we can't have strollers or dogs, sorry. If you have any questions, please contact us: clintknox @ spreeracing.com
