Call for Artists: All Things Squared

This is a call for local artists that would like to participate in a 12” by 12” works gallery art show. All mediums are welcome. The only restriction to your creativity is that your work must be 12” by 12” in its entirety, including the frame and your price set to $100 or less.

*If work is a sculpture or tabled display piece, it must sit on a 12” by 12” pedestal without overhanging, Intake for sculptures/ tabled display pieces are limited to 6 artists. Please email to secure your intake.

Intake will be Friday March 30 from 9 to 11 a.m. and 5:30 to 8 p.m. Each artist may submit up to two pieces for a $10 entry fee. Artists will be required to sign a simple gallery contract upon intake.

Work will be exhibited in The Commons Gallery, curated by TwentyOne8 Gallery. The opening reception will be Friday April 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. Artists do not have to be present for the show, but it is highly encouraged.

All work will be displayed for sale. In the event of sales during the exhibit, the artist will receive 80% of the retail price (price is set by the artist) and the gallery will retain a 20% commission. All sales will be conducted through the gallery. A simple artist/gallery show contract will be mandatory and provided at intake.

All work must be new (not previously shown), have been completed within the last two years and completed independently of a class or workshop setting. Art must be 12” by 12”. This can be art in any media and format. Work must be ready to hang with the proper wire or hooks on back. Work must be for sale at $100 or less and titled on the back. Placement of the selected works will be arranged by the exhibition gallery curators.
