Albert Maysles is one of the greatest filmmakers of all time and pioneer of "direct cinema" documentary. Best known for “Salesman” (1968), “Gimme Shelter” (1970), and “Grey Gardens” (1976), Maysles is a pillar in documentary filmmaking. Mayles will present a keynote lecture with clips, followed by a reception. A double feature screening of “Salesman” and “Gimme Shelter” will be held the night prior in the Screening Room.
