CONO Neighborhood Art Project - CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
In support of Arts Month, CONO and COPPeR invite local neighbors to submit ideas for art projects in their neighborhoods.
The Council of Neighbors and Organizations (CONO) is partnering with the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region (COPPeR) to organize a program for neighbors to submit ideas for art projects in their neighborhood. The project will be awarded in September during Neighbor Up! Month and must be completed in October as a part of Arts Month. The purpose of this project is to inspire community to come together in their neighborhood and create something together. Both organizations missions will be celebrated by art bringing neighborhoods together.
Entries will be accepted through Monday, September 16, and the winning entry will be awarded a $500 stipend during CONO’s National Good Neighbor Day Celebration and Neighbor Up Month Awards event, which will be held on September 28, 11am to 1pm, at CONO’s office, located at 1506 N. Hancock Avenue.. And, to celebrate Arts Month with COPPeR, the project must be completed during the month of October. CLICK HERE FOR THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM.
Neighborhoods will submit their idea via application with details on their proposed project. The project should be art focused and should be an opportunity inclusive of all interested neighbors to help build community. The project budget needs as well as participant capacity, must be included in the application. The award for the project will be a stipend to help the neighborhood with the supplies, permits, etc. to complete the project.
