Contemporary Punch Needle Tapestry

Punch needle is all the rage in the fiber arts community right now, and for good reason! This stylized embroidery technique is easy, fun, fast, and relaxing.

Using a pen-type needle, you punch little loops of yarn or thread through a base fabric, creating a highly- textured pile design. Punch needle is a traditional needlework craft generally focused on Americana motifs.

This class is designed to use these techniques but pulled into a contemporary setting.  Your choice of a design fits a 7″ hoop with your choice of yarn.

Materials fee: $25  includes embroidery hoop, backing cloth, punch needle, threads and yarn.
