Creating Layers: Resist Techniques and Fiber Reactive Dyes
Please note, this event has expired.
Learn resist techniques to create layers of color and design with fiber reactive dyes.
In this class, students will use different mechanical resists such as corn dextrin and potato dextrin along with surface design techniques to create texture and layers.
Students will be making samples in different fabrics to understand how these resists work and how to directly apply thickened dye with these resists, using stamps, thermofax screens and brushes.
Students will walk away with a samples binder for future reference.*
