Just 30 years ago there were only a few hundred acres planted throughout California; today there are tens of thousands of acres planted in just that state! Chardonnay can be a bit tricky to describe easily as its characteristics are a reflection of the winemaker’s choices…so the options are endless. It is a winemaker’s dream grape, both prolific enough to make into a quality yet inexpensive wine and distinctive enough (when grown for quality rather than quantity) to make a complex dry white wine. The Curious Palate is for the taster who wants to take their personal wine, beer and spirits experience to a new level by building knowledge…while having fun!
