Zoe Stiler is a New Mexico artist who was blind with cataracts from birth until the age of 6. Her paintings and large illuminated lanterns create a dreamlike world inhabited with imagery that attempts to make peace with the darkness by infusing it with light.

At age 6, she underwent a series of operations that began her journey toward becoming a sighted person. The intensity of these early experiences is what shapes her art today.
