This workshop can include people that paint in any opaque medium such as pastel, oil or acrylic. It will concentrate on the importance of understanding and using the elements of design in landscape painting. How does one choose what to paint when faced with so much in a landscape scene? How an understanding of the elements of design, such as value shape relationships, color and rhythm impact a landscape painting. How can an artist make an ordinary landscape become extraordinary in a painting. Students need to have some experience and understanding of their chosen medium to take this class.
