Beginning with a short introduction to wet felting, we’ll move through a series of small skill-building projects together.
Then you’ll have time to begin your own explorations of 3D felting techniques and see where they take you, with plenty of guidance and inspiration.
This in-depth exploration will cover different techniques and approaches to making 3D felt objects, with the goal of learning to visualize, lay out, and create anything you can imagine!
All levels are welcome. Some wet felting experience is helpful, but beginners who are ready to learn a lot in a short time can join in.
Student supply list:
- Two old towels, and a waterproof bag or container to take wet work and towels home in.
- Optional: any favorite felting tools you may already have, and any wool you would like to try felting.
Class Level: Fascination – These classes will introduce you to a new skill, concept or technique and are open to all levels.
The class instructor will be Tasha Miller Griffith.
Instructor Bio: Tasha Miller Griffith believes that making things by hand empowers people to live more joyfully and thoughtfully. Her teaching style builds a deep understanding of concepts through hands-on experimentation in a supportive environment.
