Drepang Gomang Sacred Arts Tour

Over a period of four days, the monks will create a living prayer in the form of a World Peace Mandala made of millions of grains of colored sand.

This mandala was designed by the Dalai Lama himself. From Wednesday through Friday, the monks will create the Mandala. In keeping with the Buddhist teachings of impermanence, the Mandala will be swept up in a ceremony of dissolution on Saturday morning.

The public is invited to visit the monks, view the mandala making, and share in the beauty of this sacred experience. There is no charge, however donations will be accepted to help support students of the Monastery who are exiled from Tibet.

While at the Unity Campus, the monks will also hold a cultural pageant, replete with beautiful Tibetan costumes, dances and activities.

This event will be held on Saturday afternoon.  All ages are welcome.
