This is a Poetry Open Mic. We come to celebrate all voices that come to be heard.
Rosenna (Rogue Scholar) Bakari began First Tuesday at Spice Island Grill Jamaican Restaurant in September 2017 with a vision of supporting a diverse community.
The open mic gives voice to everyone who needs to be heard.
The atmosphere gives community to people who need to be seen. From the moment listeners or poets walk through the door they are among friends.
No experience is required. We welcome first-timers to well-seasoned poets.
