Florissant Heritage Day 2019 presented by Pikes Peak Historical Society at ,

Florissant will celebrate Heritage Day on Saturday, July 27 with activities ranging from a pancake breakfast at the fire station to historical reinactments throughout the community and games for the kids at the library.

A descendant of Florissant’s founder, Judge James Castello, Bob Cox, will be dressed as the Judge and giving short presentations about him and his family.

Ralph and Doris Palmer will be at the Florissant Pioneer Cemetery in the morning discussing the history of several Civil War Veterans buried there.

The Florissant Public Library will be hosting late 1800’s games and chores for kids to play and watch.

The Pikes Peak Historical Society Museum will sponsor several events and will be open for the public to see their exhibits.

The Florissant Volunteer Fire Department will be celebrating their 50th anniversary with this year’s annual Pancake Breakfast.

Many more activities will also be happening! The breakfast is from 7-11 a.m. and the rest of the events take place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
