From the life of Baby Doe Tabor comes a tale of prominence and prestige, hardship and suffering that none other than presenter Tracy Beach could tell. From rags to riches to rags once more, the story of Baby Doe Tabor, the stunning woman of the West, will bring an era of history long past to life once more.

Tracy Beach will present a slide show, a short video of the only surviving silent film that stars Baby Doe Tabor’s daughter Silver Dollar, mannequins dressed in Baby Doe’s most memorable outfits and artifacts that show her life of luxury, down to her life of poverty.

Once lauded as the most beautiful woman of the West, Elizabeth McCourt Tabor, was the embodiment of rags to riches back to rags story. Born in 1854 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, pampered by her mother in 1877, she married Harvey Doe

Tickets are free to OCCHS Members, and are $5.00 for all others.

Tickets will be available for pre-purchase at the History Center, or by phone.

Tickets will be available for purchase on the day of the lecture. However, please arrive before 11 a.m. to purchase tickets, as doors will be closed at the start of the lecture
