Fun in the Garden: Hapa Zome (Japanese Flower Pounding)

Textiles West’s educational garden is blooming! Come have fun participating in our harvest days’ activities! Come to the garden to harvest and get involved in activities like bundle dyeing, solar printing and flower pounding Wednesdays this summer.

Come harvest at the dye garden and take out your aggression by hammering your pickings into beautiful prints with the Japanese technique of Hapa zome, or flower pounding.

Come with a friend and you can co-create a set/pair of one-of-a-kind fabrics.
