Gandhi: A Laser Journey

This performance is based on the life of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, the Indian lawyer, anti-colonial nationalist, and political ethicist, who employed nonviolent resistance to fight against racial discrimination in South Africa and led the successful campaign for India’s independence from British Rule.

When the British left India dividing it into two nations, religious violence broke out and Gandhi was assassinated. His spirit lives on through his messages of nonviolence, unity and harmony and in turn inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world.

The one-hour extravaganza comprises laser animation, 3D visual space effects, and live action in the beginning.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the UCCS Arts Experiences Scholarship.
