Enjoy a biking, hiking, or walking tour to and about historic Glen Eyrie Castle, in partnership with Bike Colorado Springs and the Old North End Neighborhood, celebrating Preservation Month & Beyond!
Bike from America the Beautiful Park to Glen Eyrie Castle (meet at 7:45 a.m., depart at 8 a.m.) or drive to the Glen Eyrie Carriage House (meet there at 9 a.m.).
Cyclists and motorists will gather for an historic overview of Colorado Springs’ founder’s estate at 9:15 a.m. Tour the Castle at 9:30 ($5 ticket required) and/or take a guided 2-hour hike at 10:45 a.m. of the geology and ecosystems of the Palmer Trail.
Dress for weather variables; hikers be mindful of a moderate hike with some loose rock. Non-hikers may stay to explore the historic castle grounds or relax surrounded by history. You may wish to bring a picnic lunch or purchase a sandwich or snacks at the carriage house/book store.
