A showcase of art made by Glo, an organization for women of color in Colorado.
The Cultural Office is proud to present the first public group show of artwork by GLO, a support group for women and female-identifying folx of color in southern Colorado. Multimedia works in two dimensions, representing the diverse voices and artistic range of GLO members, will be on exhibit through February 19. Three-dimensional works and performative pieces will also be shared during the special opening event.
During the opening on Friday, December 1 from 5-7 p.m., enjoy refreshments and meet the artists of GLO as part of First Friday in Downtown Colorado Springs. Concurrent, adjacent openings will be the annual Pikes Peak Arts Council Member Show in Plaza of the Rockies and Iconoclasm opening at GOCA121! It will be an incredibly creative night in the Plaza, and a unique opportunity to explore the narratives of amazing local women and artists of color.
