How's Your Mood and Outdoor Themed Story Time

The event will be a wonderful celebration of the outdoors as well as the joys of pet ownership! Lil’ Miss Story Hour will be celebrating the fun of adventuring in the outdoors and the joy of dogs through a variety of artists, art forms, crafts, presenters, and picture books! Explorations include but are not limited to writing, illustrations, mathematics, music, and social experiences.

Book selections will include “Please, Puppy Please,” by Spike Lee and Tonya Lewis Lee; “Pet Show” by Ezra Jack Keats; “Fatima’s Great Outdoors,” by Ambreen Tariq; and “We Are a Garden,” by Lisa Westberg Peters.

Special guests will include, Yoga and Thai Yoga Bodywork Practitioner, Christina Wilson; Yoga Instructor and Children’s Book Author, Lindsey Ausmus; Musician, Actor, and Singer, Jeanne Marie Etc.; Colorado Blackpackers; CLAWA (Colorado Liason for Animal Welfare Alliance) Co-founder, Deanna Kleszczynski; representatives from Elevation Wheel Company; and Owner of Serenity Paws, Katie Bonham. Following the book readings and guest artist performances, there will be an art activity.

There will be a small vendor fair from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Vendors will include: Restorative Healing, Elevation Wheel Company, CLAWA, Happy Cats Haven, Snacks by Two Two, and Colorado Blackpackers. There will be some giveaways from some of the vendors and attendees who bike to story time will be entered in Lil’ Miss Story Hour’s raffle giveaway! Attendees are also encouraged to bring their doggos to story time!
