Learn the basic steps to create a functional basket.
Explore the ages-old art of basket making as you weave a basic rectangular basket.
You will learn about the materials and techniques involved in making a basket: how to lay out the bottom, twine a keeping row, weave the sides, including your choice of colored reed to add a pattern, and rim and lash the top.
Your basket will measure approximately 5 X 7 x 4 inches, and besides being decorative, it is a useful container.

Registration Deadline is Feb. 29. Appropriate for 15 years and up. Registrants canceling 48 hours prior to class time will receive 75% refund. If D38 is closed for weather, the class will be rescheduled.
