Javanese Puppet Show Lecture by Kathy Foley

“Monkey Business, Miraculous Births, and Deadbeat Dads: A Javanese Puppet Show” – a lecture by Kathy Foley, Professor of Theater Arts at UC-SC.

Kathy Foley, a Professor of Theater Arts at the University of California-Santa Cruz, will discuss prequels and sequels to the Ramayana, a foundational Hindu epic, which is depicted and performed in diverse media throughout South and Southeast Asia.

The lecture serves as a prelude to Foley’s Javanese puppet show on Nov. 11.
