The Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum presents the 2023 Lecture Series, featuring a wide range of speakers offering diverse perspectives and unique insights on Pikes Peak regional history.

About the Program:

Dorothy Kemp Heller (1905-199) was one of the first women to work for the Colorado Springs Police Department as a ‘social investigator,’ tackling such issues as domestic violence, child abuse, and troubled juveniles. She both followed the conventions of what was considered women’s work, and pushed herself into spaces to advocate for reforms that would help women and children.
