Little London Winds 2016 Summer Concert Series: The Spirit of Competition

The Little London Winds will once again be performing in their wildly popular summer concert series held in Soda Springs Park in Mantitou Springs.  Concerts are every Monday night at 7:00 p.m. starting June 20th and going through August 15th.  Bring your lawn chair and a picnic dinner!  Each concert has a fun theme with music to please young and old alike.  This year’s themes are:

June 20th:  March Madness–featuring our favorite marches
June 27th:  Night at the Symphony–featuring classics from the symphony
July 4th:  Patriotic Musings–a night of patriotic favorites
July 11th:  Cowboy Heirlooms–music celebrating our western history
July 18th:  Ragtime Extravaganza–featuring a buch of ragtime pieces
July 25th:  Disney Spectacular–old and new Disney classics
August 1st:  Spirit of Competition–from the Olympics to video games, we’ve caught the competitve fever this summer!
August 8th:  Night at the Movies–featuring lush movie scores
August 15th:  People’s Choice–the top vote getters chosen by our audience members

All summer long our audience members can vote for their favorite pieces and the top  songs will be played on our final concert, August 15th, the People’s Choise night.

Each week The Little London Winds also holds a conductor auction where we auction off the baton to a lucky audience member.  The audience member gets to conduct the LLW performing a march.

All donations go toward the purchase of new music, insurance, venue fees and other expenses.  The LLW is a non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductable.

Please remember that parking in Manitou Springs is paid parking until 8:00 p.m.  The parking meters take both cash and credit/debit cards.
