The REAL George Washington was a wrestler as a young man, a horseman, and he loved to dance, eat ice cream, play with his step-children and grandchildren. He struggled with his temper with soldiers yet the man behind the face on the dollar bill had a marvelous sense of humor. Dave Wallace is a native of Colorado Springs who taught history for 40 years. Since retiring, he has focused on historical portrayals because he loves history and loves to teach.
