Math, Yes Math

A little bit of math can go a long way in knitting-empower yourself!

We will learn how to use that swatch to figure out if you have enough yarn, want to use a different weight yarn, how far the yarn you have can go, how to easily figure out how to work increases and decreases when not specifically told how to and more.

Have no fear, it is easy.

Student supply list:

• Calculator
• pen
• paper
• light colored DK weight yarn
• US size 5 needles
• questions or projects

These classes will introduce you to a new skill, concept or technique and are open to all levels. The student may, however, be required to have a basic skill or have taken a certification class.

For example, for a flat-pattern drafting class one need not know anything about flat-pattern drafting but should have a basic understanding of the sewing machine.

Our instructor Sara Greer has been dabbling in fiber art since childhood. She got serious at age 19 when she decided to conquer crochet. It snowballed from there; she has since learned to knit, dye, spin, weave, does design work and repairs, and loves to teach these skills to others.
