UCCS Professor Paul Harvey, Ph.D., Department of History, speaks on "Mentor of the Movement: The Life & Times of Howard Thurman."

Known to few people, but as a major influence on Martin Luther King, Thurman is a figure of great importance in Twentieth Century American history.

This lecture introduces listeners to the history of this African American prophet, mystic, intellectual, theologian, and counselor to King.
