Mosaic Materials Workshop
This class teaches basic mosaic techniques using some standard mosaic materials—glass tile, china, stained glass, and ceramic tile—to complete three small projects. Materials supplied; supply list provided with registration.
You will leave this workshop with 3 different projects–a trivet, a stepping stone, and a small glass on glass mosaic–each complete.
This class is suitable for beginners to intermediate level mosaic artists. Ages 12 and up, students 10-12 with accompanying parent who is also taking the class.
Wednesday we will work with glass tile and water-based glues to create a trivet. Thursday we will work with ceramics and cement-based adhesives to mosaic a stepping stone and work with stained glass and solvent-based adhesives to create a “glass on glass” piece. Then on Friday we will grout all your pieces.
Supplies: provided with class cost. If you have materials you would like to incorporate you are welcome to bring them. Supply list provided with registration.
