'Music of the Spheres: Handel, Vaughan Williams, Beethoven'

Conductor Deborah Teske leads the combined forces for Handel’s exuberant “Dixit Dominus.” Then, Thomas Wilson will conduct Vaughan Williams’ ​”Serenade to Music” and Beethoven’s “​Ode to Joy.”

What better way to celebrate new musical possibilities for our great city?

There will be a ​pre-concert talk 45 minutes prior to the concert with Michael Grace, Colorado College.

Concert will include:

• Handel’s “Dixit Dominus” for Chorus & Orchestra performed with the Colorado Vocal Arts Ensemble with ​Deborah Teske, conductor
• Vaughan Williams’ “Serenade to Music” performed with the Colorado Vocal Arts Ensemble with Thomas Wilson, conductor
• Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy, Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125: Choral” performed with:
  • Amy Maples, soprano
  • Valerie Nicolosi, mezzo-soprano
  • Humberto Borboa, tenor
  • Peter Tuff, bass-baritone
  • Colorado Springs Chorale with Thomas Wilson, conductor
