National Sauce Month Sauce Workshop

In this workshop, we will be getting saucy!  In this lecture/demonstration style workshop, you will learn all about sauce making! From how to make stock to why a sauce is the perfect compliment to a composed plate, this class will make boost your sauce confidence and you’ll be cooking like a French Saucier at home in no time!

In this sauce workshop, we will be exploring Contemporary Sauces.  This is an online, live & interactive cooking class. There will be no recipe kits for this class as it is a lecture/demonstration – however Gather will provide an in-depth Sauce Workbook!

• 5 French Mother Sauces – with smaller sauce variations
• Emulsifications & Purees
• Deglazing/Pan Sauces
• How and Why We Thicken – Reductions, Beurre Monte, Roux, Cornstarch vs. Arrowroot, Gelatin, Agar-Agar
• Demonstration: Beurre Blanc with Herbs, Compound Butter, Coulis, Gastrique, Chutney
