"Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Latinx Catholic Church"

This presentation examines the history of three Latino parishes in Denver, Colorado—St. Cajetan’s Parish, Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, and Our Lady of Visitation Parish—to reveal factors contributing to the marginalization of Latino Catholics in the United States.

Burgeoning numbers of Latino Catholics suggests the influence that this group will have on the church in the United States. Yet, the Church struggles to incorporate Latino Catholics fully into parishes, dioceses, and the universal Church.
