Welcome to Queen Palmer Elementary! Queen Palmer was built in 1948 and was named after the wife of General Palmer. We currently have 260 students in grades K-5, in addition to a Headstart Preschool program. There are two teachers per grade level that are all highly qualified teachers. Our teachers have a strong commitment to our school, form positive relationships with their students, and provide differentiated instruction to meet every child’s needs.
Along with excellent grade level instruction, Queen Palmer also provides students with extra support through a variety of before/after school tutoring opportunities, as well as more individualized instruction during the day. We have math and reading interventionists during the school day that work closely with the teacher to design interventions that will help fill in learning gaps that some of our students may have.
All Queen Palmer students have access to Music and PE daily, along with Library, Art, and computers weekly. Students also receive Character and Anti-Bullying Education from our School Counselor to help them develop strategies that they will be able to use now and in the future. Students may participate in Boy Scouts, Sports Challenge, Band/Orchestra, 5th Grade Battle of the Books, or YES Science Club.
