Samhain Celebration (All Hallows Eve) with Celtic Music Performers McKeee & Wilson

Please join Willson & McKee for a step back into a magical time of the ancients and welcome in the winter season with songs, tunes, stories and more. Learn about the origins of Halloween.

Celebrate Halloween with music and stories.

Pronounced ‘sahwen’, this was an important holiday for many of the Gaelic speaking people. It was a celebration of the end of harvest and the beginning of winter, or ‘dark half’ of the year. It was a time when the ‘other world’ was very close, bonfires were lit, food and drink left outside for the ‘Si’ (pronounced ‘she’, meaning the fairy folk), and places set at the table for deceased loved ones.  A time of celebration, of feasting, of storytelling and power, eventually morphing into ‘Halloween’. Please join Willson & McKee for a step back into a magical time of the ancients and welcome in the winter season with songs, tunes, stories and more.

All ages are welcome to this family friendly event!
