The Art Of Jazz Presents: The Steve Langemo Trio

An intimate jazz concert featuring jazz and funk guitarist Steve Langemo on guitar, with premier bassist Colin Truesdell and the newly arrived and in demand Paul Shaw on drums. A tight group with great style.

As a performer, Steve has worked professionally in a wide range of styles, ranging from blues trios, horn-based funk bands, big band jazz, jazz trios and quartets, jazz/fusion bands, and even a 10-piece Steely Dan tribute band. In 2009 his solo CD "Out Loud" caught the attention of Guitar Player Magazine and earned him a slot in their Guitar Superstar competition, where contestants performed original music for a panel of judges that included guitarists Steve Lukather and Jennifer Batten. Steve has also worked extensively as a pit orchestra musician and has served as a guitarist for over fifty professional musical theatre productions.

The trio presents original compositions and fresh takes on jazz classics drawing on music from fusion pioneers such as Herbie Hancock and Jaco Pastorious.
