Tamales Cooking Class

In this four hour class, we will make traditional tamales from central Mexico – salsa verde (green salsa) & pork.

About the class:

• Our tamales are the traditional from central Mexico (Mexico City)
• We are making Pork & Salsa Verde
• Class starts right on tim.
• We will go through the whole tamal process – preparing the masa preparing the corn husks, fixing the tamales by filling, folding and steaming
• During the steaming time, we will be able to enjoy an appetizer, drink, play a game of Mexican Bingo, etc.
• After tamales are ready, you will be able to taste the fruits of your work, and take a bunch with you to share with your family!

What to expect:

• Be prepared to enjoy. Cooking is all about sharing and having fun!
• This session is an average of 4 hrs. – Timing depends on the skill level and many other factors, so make sure to have an open window to enjoy the full experience
• We will have a short ice-breaker moment to introduce ourselves and spend a few minutes explaining the cooking process and safety tips, so everybody feels comfortable and relaxed during the session
• We strive for a “clean-as-we-go” policy to keep the kitchen orderly during the session.
