The Art of Steve Wells

Cottonwood Center for the Arts, in partnership with Nor’wood Development Group, is pleased to present the art of Steve Wells at the Plaza of the Rockies for the months of October through January.

Steve Wells is a local Colorado Springs abstract expressionist. His work is inspired by Post-War Expressionism and Pop Art with influences ranging from Hans Hofmann, Jackson Pollock, Andy Warhol, to Peter Max.

Playing heavily on the effects of thick texture and vibrant colors, Wells’ work is delightfully versatile, expressing both the artists’ vision and story for each piece while still leaving room for the viewer to find their own emotional connection with the composition.

There will be an opening reception October 4 at Plaza of the Rockies from 5-8 p.m.
